Doors that suit Leamington's period homes
CGW Installations is a door and glazing installer based in Coventry, working across Leamington Spa. We supply and fit Rockdoor and other composite doors, windows and bifold doors, replace failed glass and renew silicone sealant.
Leamington is known for its Regency and Victorian houses, and a new door needs to look right on an older frontage. As a Rockdoor Trusted Installer, we can show you traditional styles as well as modern ones when you're choosing composite doors in Leamington Spa.
Why This Area
Getting the look right on an older house
A composite door doesn't have to look modern. Rockdoor's range includes classic designs such as the Georgia, Jacobean and Colonial, all styles we've fitted, with knockers, letterplates and glass to match.
Getting the proportions right matters most on a period house. We look at the opening, any fanlight or side panels, and the brickwork or render around the frame before recommending a style. Our guide to choosing a composite door design is a good place to start.
What We Do
What we can help with
Alongside Rockdoor installation, which includes Rockdoor's 10-year manufacturer warranty where it applies, we offer composite door installation from other manufacturers.
For the rest of the house we provide individual window installation, glass replacement for misted or cracked sealed units, bifold door installation for extensions and garden rooms, and silicone sealant application. If your existing Rockdoor has started to stick, Rockdoor repairs and maintenance can often fix it.
Good To Know
Conservation areas and consent
Much of central Leamington is a conservation area, and many houses here are listed. If yours is, check with Warwick District Council before changing your front door or windows, as you may need consent.
Building Regulations are separate. We're Certass accredited, so we certify replacement doors and windows ourselves and you get a certificate once the work is done. Our post on whether you need building control approval to replace a front door explains more.
